P1 and P7 Garden Party and good luck Mrs Watson!

What a lovely afternoon, as well as beautiful sunshine we had tasty snacks and great fun playing with the outdoor toys. The bunting the boys and girls made for Mrs Watson were lovely decorations for the garden party.

Primary 1 were able to say a final good bye and best wishes to their P7 buddies before they set off for Milburn after the holidays.

It was very sad to say goodbye to Mrs Watson as she has been such an important part of not just this years Primary 1 but others before then and will be missed by staff and children through the whole school and we hope to see her back soon! The boys and girls made a lovely canvas for Mrs Watson with their fingerprint and name.

We wish her good luck and happy holidays. πŸ™‚ x

Learning about the Planets with P6!

We had a great time learning about the Planets with P6. We were able to become experts on a Planet and teach the rest of our class about it. It was fantastic to see the teamwork and the P6’s were excellent helpers. Well done to our confident little people presenting to the rest of your class, we are very proud, what a difference a year can make! πŸ™‚

Summer Picnic!

Tomorrow is our school summer picnic where the children get to have lunch outside. Children are welcome to wear summer/summer festival clothes to celebrate. Although summer clothes will be lovely we also advise a coat due to our ever changeable MOL climate. πŸ™‚

Space Week!

This week we have been learning about Space! We have been doing lots of space activities already including rocket drama, designing our own Alien’s, writing about our imaginary space adventure and today finding out about planets!

In little groups we are becoming experts about one of the Planets, we have a P6 helper to help us find and learn the information. We will be finishing our posters later in the week and teaching the rest of our class about the planet we have become experts on!

P6 and P1 worked brilliantly together, P6 were very patient and excellent leaders and P1 were so focussed and keen to learn as much as they could to be able to be good teachers to their peers. Well done all. πŸ™‚

Highland Wildlife Park

What a fantastic day we had at the Wildlife Park! The children saw lots of animals including vicunas, bison, camels, polar bears, wild cats, red pandas, monkeys, snow leopards, deer, tigers and a wolverine!

We had a lovely lunch together and managed to avoid most of the bad weather. The children (and adults!) were exceptionally well behaved. A couple passed us and even asked where the children went to school and commented on how well they had seen them behave throughout the day. We were very proud. Everyone got a double dojo for this! πŸ™‚
